Motor insurers who handle non-fault claims collectively can remove frictional costs including referral fees from the claims process, according to experts.

While the Association of British Insurers and various parties call for referral fees paid during the claims process to be banned, Broker Assistance chairman, Jon Ralph, believes insurers shoud work
