PI victory highlights bus fraud threat
Provident has claimed a victory for the insurance industry after it avoided a potential cost of £200 000 in fraudulent personal injury claims.
The insurer opened an investigation after its technical claims department received 49 PI claims within three months following a collision between one of its policyholders and a double-decker bus.
