Chubb Insurance Company of Europe has appointed Tony Fitzgerald as manager of its claims business in Ireland, reporting directly to Lynn George, European Claims Manager

It follows the news in April 2010 that four key staff left the business to join rival Mistui.

Mr Fitzgerald joined Chubb in January 2011, having previously been partner and director at Thornton & Partners, Partner with Brian Collins Adjusters, and Risk Assessor and Claims Inspector at Aviva.

Lynn George, European claims manager for Chubb, said: “Tony’s in-depth knowledge of the Irish market, wealth of experience in handling claims across a wide range of business classes and excellent technical skills make him ideally suited to become Claims Manager for Ireland. I wish him every success in his new role.”
