Speaking exclusively to Post Europe, Jose Manuel Dias da Fonseca, chairman of the network said: "Brokers Link is not looking for lots of members but we need to be global and local and serve our local countries.

"We are in talks with brokers in South Korea and Romania, and we would also like to be in Malaysia. In Africa we have a partnership with Alexander Forbes so we are represented there."

He explained that the aim was to have at least one broker in every location it wanted to do business in.
