IMD: hostage-taking at sea reaches record high
According to recent statistics, more people were taken hostage at sea in 2010 than in any year on record.
Figures disclosed by the International Chamber of Commerce revealed that a total of 53 ships were hijacked, and that pirates captured 1,181 seafarers and killed eight.
