Aviation reinsurance losses weigh heavily on Novae
Aviation losses sent Novae to a first half pretax loss.
Novae, the Lloyd's insurer, blamed aviation losses for the fact that that it reported a £10m pretax loss in the first half of 2009, down from a £15.4m gain this time last year.
