PIA calls for US flood legislation
The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) has called on its members to contact their Members of Congress and to urge them to pass flood insurance legislation before the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) expires on June 30.
Authorization for the program has been extended twice by Congress in 2004 but is currently held up. The current temporary authorization is scheduled to expire on June 30, 2004.
