Chaucer says has received offer proposal; Novae seen as bidder
Lloyd's (re)insurer Chaucer said that it has received an "unsolicited indicative proposal" from a third party" regarding a potential merger offer for the company on an all-share, nil premium basis.
Chaucer said that it will look as to whether the indicative proposal is likely to result in an offer, but said that there "can be no certainty that the approach will result in an offer being made."
