UK non-life insurance industry faces loss
The UK non-life insurance industry will face a significant loss this year – leaving its overall underwriting result in red, according to Standard and Poor’s.
The ratings service says extreme weather conditions could add nearly 40 percentage points to the industry’s property gross loss ratio for 2007 and more than 10 percentage points to its overall gross
