Global insurance figures reveal strong growth
Global premium volume across the insurance industry amounted to some £1 600bn, of which £922bn was attributable to life insurance and £655bn to general insurance, according to the latest figures from Swiss Re.
According to Swiss Re, general insurance in industrialised nations in 2002 posted an "extraordinarily robust premium growth" of 9% over the previous year, with increased premiums registered in theOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
