Post launches insurance fraud initiative
Post has launched the Insurance Fraud Awards 2009 which will be presented at a special awards dinner on 1 October in London. Anthony Gould, Post group editor in chief, commented: "Fraud is at the top of the general insurance industry's agenda this year as the economic pressures created by a turbulent economy provide an increase in opportunistic, organised and desperation-driven insurance fraud. These awards will not only recognise the work of the insurance industry and its partner suppliers in combating and preventing insurance fraud but will also encourage the spread of best practice and excellence."
The special awards evening will follow on from the UK's major general insurance fraud conference - The Post Fraud Management Briefing - being held during the same day.
The award categories are:
