BHRC report gloomy on global warming progress
The prospects for tackling climate change look increasingly bleak, according to a new report published by the Benfield Hazard Research Centre (BHRC) entitled ‘Climate Change 2004’ which addresses the results of research undertaken and observations made since 2000.
The Kyoto Protocol requires that greenhouse gas emissions are reduced to 5.2 percent below 1990 levels within the 2008 – 2012 period.
