Former senior Gen Re exec given jail sentence
(BestWire) - The third of five former insurance executives found guilty about a year ago of securities fraud in connection with a sham reinsurance deal has been sentenced to serve time in federal prison.
Christopher P. Garand, former General Reinsurance Corp. senior vice president and chief underwriter, was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Hartford, Conn. to a year and one day in prison and aOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
