Amlin reports strong start to 2007
Lloyd's insurer Amlin this morning reported that the gross written premium (after brokerage costs) in the year ended 31 December 2006 was £882m, up 19% over the same period in 2005. It also noted that it had a strong start to 2007 with business up 12% in the January renewal season.
It added Syndicate 2001’s gross written premium was £783m (at rates of $1.96:£1), compared to £744m for the previous year at comparable rates of exchange. This includes additional insurance business
