RSA: disposal statement
Royal and Sun Alliance today said that in accordance with IFRS 5, it will be classifying its US operation as 'held for sale' in its 2006 results. In line with IFRS 5 the US operation will be written down to fair value less any disposal costs in the 2006 results, RSA added.
"This write down and the US operation's result for the year will be shown on one line in the 2006 preliminary announcement as 'discontinued operations', which is outside the group's OperatingOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
