IPC Holdings ups Ike, Gustav estimates
IPC Holdings, the Bermudian (re)insurer, has upped its estimate of claims from hurricanes Gustav and Ike by approximately $47m to a total estimate of approximately $135 million, net of reinstatement premiums.
In IPC's third quarter results last year, it estimated that the two hurricanes, which ravaged the Texas and Louisiana coastline and several offshore energy risks, would cost it $88m.
