Aon Q2 net income jumps, helped by $1.1bn positive charge
Aon's second quarter net income improved to $1.1bn in the second quarter from $240m the year before, helped by a positive charge of $1bn for its sales of insurers CICA and Sterling.
Net income from continuing operations in the second three months of the year to end-June dropped 8% to $168m from $185m.
Revenues for the quarter rose to $1.63bn from $1.51bn in 2007.
