D&G's deputy head steps down from board

Takeover target Domestic and General has announced that its deputy CEO is stepping down from the board to concentrate on building the firm's international business. John Ritchie, who is also formerly group finance director, will step down from the board at the company's Annual General Meeting on 26 July to concentrate on the development of the group's international business as managing director, international. Colin Honey, non-executive director, will also retire from the board at the AGM on the completion of three terms as a non-executive.

The board intends to appoint a further non-executive in due course.
