AIG rolls out 'seamless' electronic resinsurance solution
National Union Fire insurance Company will be the first of the AIG companies to go live with a new system that will enable the underwriter to process business with the company, from the policy to the reinsurance, using an electronic system. Richard Ruggiano, senior reinsurance officer for the domestic brokerage group at AIG, said that the plan was for the company to be online with the solution in July with the other companies in the group being rolled out after that, the next implementation is expected in October.
Mr Ruggiano said that the way reinsurance industry carried out business had to be moved into the modern age with reinsurance being a seamless process. However he admitted that the project was a hugeOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
