HBOS sees "excellent" general insurance results
HBOS said today that general insurance premium income increased by 19% to £1.6bn in 2003 and all major product lines gave a strong performance, increasing overall profit before tax by 11%, to £445m.
HBOS said that sales from household insurance increased by 20% on 2002 - capitalising on the strength of the Halifax brand.
