Platinum Q2 net income up $12m
Platinum Underwriters, the Bermudian (re)insurer, said that second quarter net income rose to $102.3m from $90.6m in the corresponding period last year.
Net earned premiums dropped around $50m to $257.9m from $301.8m in the second three months to end-June of 2007.
The GAAP combined ratio dropped to 68.4% from 80.8% in the second quarter in 2007.
