Over-65s turned down for travel insurance
The UK’s 9.5 million over-65s struggle to find travel insurers willing to take their business and then face having to pay over the odds for adequate cover, the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (Biba) has warned. Biba said the problems older travellers face in buying travel insurance may mean many go on holiday without such cover.
The association said people aged 65 and over will be turned down for around 30 of the 140 annual travel insurance policies on the market and when they hit 70 will be rejected for more than 105Only users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
