Federal judge asked to move back sentencing for Gen Re, AIG execs

Prosecutors have asked a federal judge to move back the sentencing date of five former insurance executives convicted in February of securities fraud for one month to allow more time for a government expert to prepare a report on the loss amount used in calculating sentencing.

The defense too wants the sentencing date — originally set for May 15 — postponed, but for at least five more months. They say their expert will need more time to analyze and respond to the government
