AIG sees 24% hike in general insurance premiums
Insurance giant AIG has recorded a 36% rise in first quarter profit following a hike in property and casualty premiums.
The insurer said net income rose to $2.66bn from $1.95bn for the same period last year.Net premiums written in general insurance increased 24% to a $10.21bn, and the operation's combined ratio was 93
