RBSI reports NIG up 10% in SME in 2005

Royal Bank of Scotland Insurance saw its income increase 8% to 5489m pounds in 2005, with a 1% drop in household policies countered by a 4%increase in motor and 10% in SME commercial.

In total RBSI said it now has 8687m motor policyholders (2004: 8338m) and 10 898m non motor policyholders (2004: 10 464m). On continental Europe RBSI has 1862m motor policholders (2004: 1639m).
