Aspen hit by hurricanes and credit crunch
Aspen rcorded a third quarter 2008 net loss after tax of $116.7m, compared with a net profit after tax of $117.2 million in Q3 2007.
Its combined ratio deteriated to 123.3% for Q3 2008 versus 84.5% in Q3 2007. Aspen added Hurricanes Ike and Gustav accounted for $1.91 of the reduction in diluted earnings per share for the third
