Several recent launches have made cash plans top of the chops, and while some believed the new policies would sink their teeth into the rival competition coming from dental plans, this has not been the case, with the latter appearing to be biting back, says Edmund Tirbutt.

Cash plans, which provide an inexpensive means of protecting against
a range of minor medical costs, date back well into the last century.
However they have been enjoying a relatively high profile
