Insurers are still suffering from problems over recovering money from each other. Back in 1996, the industry was being urged to replace the defunct knock-for-knock scheme with an electronic exchange.
Cornhill's head office claims manager Harry Rule has called on theindustry to examine ways technology could be used to speed the payment of
accident damage monies between insurers.
