Indie trial judge sets out timetable
The trial of three former directors of Independent Insurance started today at Southwark Crown Court, London. Judge Rivlin QC confirmed that the trial was scheduled to run until the third week of September with a holiday break between 25 July and 13 August adding that this timeframe could not be guaranteed and he thus included three weeks’ either way.
Jury sifting, with questionnaires for the 60 prospective jurors attending court began today, with Judge Rivlin QC declaring that he hoped to have the jury sworn in by the end of the week.FormerOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
