Condon was released of responsibility for reserves

Philip Condon, managing director of Independent Insurance insisted that he did not take any responsibility for the company’s reserves from April 2000, citing a comment from Michael Bright that he would deal with claims reserving issues from that time on. The court also heard that Mr Condon had little contact with the actuaries, Watson Wyatt, reports Anthony Gould

The jury today heard from transcripts relating to interviews by the Serious Fraud Office of Mr Condon, conducted under oath two years ago, read to the court by Kay Rogers, principal investigator
