Claims manager reassured over Independent's finances
Former Independent group claims manager Patricia Clarkson admitted that she would have been “worried” about Independent Insurance’s position regarding reserving had she not been reassured that off-system finances existed to sufficiently cover claims, writes Jonathan Swift .
The comment came in response to a question from Andrew Baillie QC following a discussion regarding an e-mail from an in-house auditor Paul Johnson dated 28 November 2000.
