Charity challenge
Ageas employees raised almost £90,000 for the NSPCC last year.

They took part in Tough Mudder races, bake sales, sky dives and plane pulls, raising over £88,000 for Ageas’s nominated charity in 2015.

“Our employees have always had a flair for innovative ways of fundraising,” commented Lyn Nicholls, HR director of Ageas UK.

Joni Rock, corporate fundraising manager at the NSPCC, noted: “In just one year, Ageas employees raised almost £90,000, which has enabled the NSPCC to answer 22,500 calls into ChildLine or provide 1800 hours of one-to-one therapy from trained counsellors in one of our 40 family centres across the UK, helping children and young people who have been abused.”

The big debate

Insurers could be hit hard as a result of the fallout from the Panama Papers data leak. The 11.5m files that were leaked from the database of offshore law firm Mossack Fonseca could result in regulatory or civil action, triggering long running court cases that would have a wider impact on many firms, including insurers. What could this mean for your company and do you have any processes in place?
