But according to Lexis Nexis senior director, personal lines insurance, Martyn Mathews the data coming out of the car is becoming increasingly important for underwriting purposes

Data which means the car is now becoming more of a ‘star’ when it comes to managing motor risks.

In this short presentation video Mathews notes that dynamic driving data has primarily been used in the young driver segment, especially telematics.

Which leads him to ask the question: “Are you really, really, really ready for car becoming the star?”

Especially as connectivity and technology is only going increase with the wider adoption of advanced driver assistance systems.
