Willis on target for "breakout financial result" after Q2 profits hit $78m

Willis this morning reported net income for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 jumped 8% to $78m (Q2: 2006 $72m) an increase of 8 percent on revenues of $626m (up 6%).The effect of foreign currency translation increased reported revenues by 2 percent, the broker added.

Total reported revenues for the six months ended June 30, 2007 were $1.4 bn, an increase of 8 percent compared to the prior year. Willis said organic growth in commissions and fees, which excludes
