Kiln in massive catastrophe expansion for 2007

RJ Kiln, the Lloyd's managing agency wholly owned by Kiln plc, has said it aims to increase its overall capacity by 25% on 2006, bringing total capacity to over £1 billion for 2007.

In its initiual business plan for 2007 the company said intends to more than double the capacity of its catastrophe Syndicate 557 and up capacity on syndicate 510 by 17.6%

Lloyd’s profits fall to £3.5bn

Lloyd’s profit before tax fell from £4.2bn in the first half of 2025 to £3.5bn in the first six months of 2026, as lower investment returns offset a "strong" underwriting performance.
