Bright sold houses to pay back £4m loan
Michael Bright had no choice but to sell four of his properties after Independent Insurance’s collapse in 2001, reports Olivier C Laurent .
The court heard today from Ian Winter QC that the former company chairman and managing director had taken a £4m loan from HSBC in the years before the collapse of the insurer.
