Chaucer has reported a drop in profits to £3.9m in the first half of 2008 (H1 2007: £47.9m).
Highway reports profit fall
Highway this morning reported a fall in profit before tax to £1.4m (2007: £11.8m) for the first six months of 2008. Its gross written premium dipped slightly to £130.7m (2007: £131.2m).
Willis unveils rebrand
Coyle Hamilton Willis, the Irish subsidiary of Willis Group, will change its name to Willis Risk Services (Ireland), effective 15 September.
Ecclesiastical falls into the red after investment portfolio flops
Ecclesiastical has unveiled a pre-tax loss of £21.5m for the first six months of 2008 (2007: £28.7m profit) on gross written premiums of £210.8m, up £9m (4.5%) on the same period last year.
LV in £150m bid for Highway
