Lloyd’s CEO hails ‘superb’ first half of 2024

Lloyd’s has today announced an overall profit before tax of £4.9bn (HY 2023: £3.9bn) for the first six months of 2024.

The market delivered more than half a billion pounds increase on underwriting profit, with 2024’s figure sitting at £3.1bn (HY 2023: £2.5bn).

This is good news for both investors in the Lloyd’s
