Allianz launches takeover bid for Euler Hermes

Allianz will aim to buy the remaining portion of Euler Hermes for €1.85bn (£1.65bn).

The German insurer said it was a “logical step” to increase its stake in the French credit insurance firm.

Allianz has already struck a deal to buy 11.3% of Euler Hermes stock for €122 per share
