Suncorp posts 20% first half insurance profit rise
Brisbane-based financial services group Suncorp saw insurance after tax profit grow strongly in Australia but fall back in New Zealand.
In Australia Suncorp's insurance after tax profits, including life insurance, climbed 43% from A$259m (last six months of 2015 or H1 2016) to A$369m in H1 2017 (last six months of 2016) while
