Over-50s worst hit from motor premium hike

Those over the age of 50 are being worst hit from the rise in motor insurance, according to insurance market researcher Consumer Intelligence.

Average premiums for the over-50s have risen by 15.3% in the 12 months to February 2016, compared to 9.3% for the under-25s.
