Insurance Bill awaits royal assent after passing in Commons
The Insurance Bill passed unanimously in the House of Commons today (3 February) and is now only waiting for Royal Assent to become law.
When it gains Royal Assent the Insurance Act will replace the Marine Insurance Act, a measure that has provided the framework for all commercial insurance purchased in the UK for over a century.
