Former Carole Nash MD Keeling to chair Principal Insurance

Principal Insurance has appointed former Carole Nash managing director Damian Keeling as its chairman.

Keeling, pictured, has plans to grow the business by between 50% and 80% after implementing an investment programme this year focusing on marketing and IT.

He said: "[Principal Insurance] has reached a critical mass which means it requires both additional expertise and financial resource to maintain impressive momentum which has seen premium income rise threefold in just three years."

After leaving Carole Nash in 2005, Keeling acquired Cumbria-based performance car insurer Peart Insurance Brokers which he sold in 2008 following his appointment as managing director of Perspective Financial Group.

He is also non-executive director private medical insurance broker Chase Templeton and a director and part-owner of medico-legal business Servian Services.
