Foreign insurers allowed into North Queensland
The Australian government is allowing foreign insurers access to North Queensland's home insurance market in an attempt to drive down prices.
In an area frequently hit by floods and cyclones, the government wants to increase competition for brokers and consumers for home content and other home insurance products.
