Hastings sees 90% increase in Q2 pre-tax profit
UK motor specialist Hastings posted profit before tax of £17.1m for the second quarter of 2014, a 90% increase on the same period in 2013.
Group net revenue increased by 19% to £97.6m (Q2 2013: £81.9m) aided by a 24% increase in gross written premiums to £119.8m (Q2 2013: £96.4m).
The insurer posted a combined operating ratio of 90.5%
