Axa Assistance partners with Footman James in classic car deal

Classic car

Axa Assistance has unveiled a new breakdown assistance product for classic car owners in partnership with Towergate-owned Footman James.

The insurer already provides breakdown cover to Footman James' customers, but will now be able to offer the protection as a standalone policy.

Aimed at vehicles aged 20 years and over, the policy enables motorists to have their vehicle recovered back to a garage of their choice when a breakdown occurs and their vehicle cannot be repaired at the roadside.

Axa Assistance account director Paul Moloney said: "We are delighted that classic car owners who require standalone cover can now take advantage of our breakdown service through Footman James.

Footman James managing director Andy Fairchild added: "As one of the leading classic vehicle insurance brokers, we are well placed to offer this specialist breakdown policy through Axa Assistance. "
