Admiral grows customer base but turnover droops

Admiral has reported an expanded number of total group customers at the end of Q1, but noted that group turnover has fallen by 7% to £514m (2013 Q1: £551m)

UK car insurance turnover followed the group result, decreasing 11% to £420m, down from £470m, with UK motor premiums down 11% to £384m, from £432m in 2013.

By contrast total customer numbers were up
