Nelson urges industry to factor climate change into cat models
Climate change is real and must be factored into all future catastrophe modelling, Lloyd’s chairman John Nelson has warned.
The comments follow research by Lloyd's that found climate change has the potential to affect extreme weather events, which subsequently impact on insurance being underwritten in the Lloyd's market.
