CC publishes proposed measures for private healthcare sector
The Competition Commission has outlined its proposed measures to increase competition in the private healthcare market including divesting nine private hospitals to introduce greater rivalry in major population centres and areas of high private health insurance penetration.
The measures are based on the CC’s provisional report in its private healthcare investigation published last August.
That investigation found 101 hospitals faced little local competition; some of them
