FCA insurance fines rise 160% in 2013

Fines imposed on the insurance sector by the regulator rose to £44.6m last year, up 160% on the previous year.

Broker-specific fines rose to £9.76m from £807 050 in 2012 - mainly driven by the hefty sanctions incurred by JLT and Swinton.
